Monica captured this image of an anomilie in the curtains. A few other odd things were found that
evening, but this is the most remarkable of them all. Any ideas on what it might be?

I would have to guess the usual subject, dust. See how it is reflecting the color of the curtain. It is kind of neat how it looks like it has a trail and is in a pair but I still have to vote dust. I think the flash of the camera played on the glass a little too, see the white streak on the window. Might I suggest closing curtains in a room you are investigating, in my total not professional opinion it would help eliminate the window glare factor.
What is the gray almost arrowed shaped thing over near the white wood? Is it a fixture on the window? It almost looks smokey that is why I ask.
Wow for some one who "retired" before she even got started I have a lot to say today You can feel free to slap me. _________________ ~Amanda~

| As neat as that pic is, it is still a pic of an orb. I am going to stick with my no orb policy. Unless the orb is the size of a basketball, can whisle dixie, or is showing some other really bizzare behavior. Besides who said and orb was a ghost? Hmm, an old abandon building that might be haunted might also be dusty. Maybe ghost do present themselves in such a simple manner, or perhaps someone should vacuum. Just my view on it. |

I agree or rather 'believe' that it is just some flying particle, pretty awesome catch either way. A few agent members and I raised the question on what it was, seeing many dust orbs in our lifetime not like this. So I threw it out there. Getting good responses.
I agree Boo-its-Amanda, curtains should be drawn during an investigation for the glare factor. In the case of this photo, the curtains could not cover the windows due to lack of curtain rods. |

hi, Im shirleyp.
I saw the photo of the curtain. Maybe the flash of the camera bounced off of something and reflected into the lens as it was shooting the photo. I saw the way the light was hitting things and it looks like the light could be reflecting from maybe the light bulb in the above lamp to the left or some other shiny object from the left. notice other things that are shiny where light is hitting, some are small spots. This would give it the effect of being "on" the curtain, or floating in front of it, when it could actually be just a reflection off of something that caught the lens. did anyone see the left window, in upper right section, there's a small orb like object with a stream of red going upwards and off to the wood frame. Can anyone else see this? just wanted to share my opinion on things. I would love believe this is something of the paranormal nature, cuz I LUV those kind of things, i'm a big believer in ghosts, orbs etc, but this does look like it can be explained. It should be investigated further! _________________ shirleyp |

The pictures of the dust on the curtains was not impressive... Not only should the curtains be closed, but also, you should be in the dark when investigating any site. Sometimes people do get ghostly images on their photos that just aren't explainable. These are what we all hope to achieive on film.....Bslayton _________________ I would like to talk with vapor about joining the group. Hey Hey Brenda....Thanks for your great analisis of the photo. However mistaken you are....the room was dark, the flash is the "light"...I would love to see your camera that can take photos in complete darkness...that would be great to have on an investigation.....good thing you have it, you will be an asset to any organization someday...truely!!!
Also you must ALWAYS have professional manners when on an investigation to a open for business bed and breakfast. If the curtains will not close all the way due to the fact of 'curtain rods' not being there, you do not make them close all the way, you leave them be and close them as much as they will allow and not what you want....I don't believe this photo is impressive either, however I have never seen dust like that before. Thanks for letting me know you have...it's been a GREAT help. |
